Cathy and Kent Wilson opened At Home Furniture in June
2000 in historic downtown Albany.
They began with a dream and a goal: "To offer quality home furnishings and
superior customer service at affordable prices."
In the early days they ran the operation alone. Cathy would watch the sales
floor while Kent would unload freight and run deliveries in their personal
truck.
Their perseverance and dedication to the business steadily helped grow At Home
Furniture into one of the largest and most respected furniture stores in the
valley!
As the demand for their fine furniture rose quickly, the need for a larger
location became apparent. Their new location on the corner of 9th and Hill
streets promised more square feet of showroom, a superior warehouse, plenty of
off-street parking, and a place to truly call their own.
Subsequently, they have been making improvements to the store including a
complete remodel of the existing building, and an 11,000 square foot addition
with new carpet, paint, and lighting throughout.
They redesigned, resurfaced, and repainted the parking lot to include new
landscaping and pedestrian pathways.
Within the new store, Cathy and Kent also expanded their product lines to
include televisions and home electronics. Currently, At Home Furniture and
Mattresses proudly does business with over 150 quality furniture and electronics
manufacturers!
January 2008 they broke ground on a new 9,500 square foot on-site warehouse.
January 2009 the product line expands to include top of the line appliances including
Amana, Jenn-Air, Maytag and Whirlpool, to name a few. The appliance lines make
At Home Furniture one of the most inclusive home furnishing businesses in the
Valley.
On the sales floor today you’ll find the owners along with many dedicated
customer service associates. Customers enjoy the personable atmosphere they find
at their store!
